In 2008 Xceed launched a unique software & services approach to telecoms expense management, XTEM, to directly address companies expenditure on Telecoms; Fixed Line, Mobile and Data Networks.

How is XTEM different?

TEM is an emerging offering in the UK and the majority of companies focus purely on recovery of historical overbilling. Given the inherent inaccuracy and over billing found in 80% of all telecoms bills this alone will typically deliver valuable savings.

However, this is just one element of Xceed’s approach as we take a longer term view of spend and, crucially, telecoms inventory management. We not only recover historical over-billing but more importantly, we put the tools and processes in place to ensure they don’t happen again.  

We use our own telecoms business intelligence system, based on up-to-date information from all tier one and tier two network providers. It’s a powerful, web-based telecoms expense management system which, supported by our industry experts, goes far beyond what can be achieved through traditional telecoms expense management methods. The system can identify a huge range of issues, including unused lines, staff misuse, (expensive) legacy contracts and calls between your landlines and mobiles to provide you with the best ongoing telecoms estate management imaginable.

Our Software as a Service (SaaS) combined with Consultancy expertise provides an accurate and up to date asset register which identifies redundant hardware, lines and contracts whilst also analysing up to a million lines of telecoms charges per second.

With ongoing access to the software you not only benefit from improved accuracy of billing and the associated savings but also see with clarity the exact extent and complexity of your Telecoms estate. This has proven invaluable in cases of office moves, company mergers and closures. The Telecoms or IT Manager can efficiently manage multi-location and multi-infrastructure estates through one simple on-line portal. 

What does it involve?

XTEM is a simple, modular, four stage process. Whilst we recommend completing a full TEM exercise we are achieving an average of 20% savings from the initial Assessment phase alone:

All we require from you is:

  • Three months itemised bills from your network providers
  • Copies of existing contracts and tariffs
  • A list of your office locations & subsidiaries and
  • Your permission to engage with the network providers on your behalf
